Garden District

The Garden District of New Orleans is the most commonly imagined area when someone dreams of New Orleans. Given its title in the mid 1880s due to its impressive gardens, the start of this neighborhood can be dated to the early 1800s. Many of New Orleans historic mansions can be found in the Garden District, often with the same family owning property for generations.

Known for it’s Greek Revival style architecture, the Garden District at one time was a major draw for America’s wealthiest and continues to be a popular draw for home owners and tourist alike. Home to the historic Lafayette Cemetary No 1 and Commanders Palace, the Garden District is a must visit for anyone to see.
